The clients wanted to maximise the light coming into the house, so Crittall and a large rooflight was the obvious choice.
Given the fact that they have a traditional shaker kitchen, the Crittall frames are a lovely contrasting addition, creating a more modern, industrial look.
We were able to glaze the back of the house, up to the top of the pitched roof, certainly providing a wow factor and creating an incredible sense of space. The low profile frames mean they get loads of light streaming in, even on grey days.
We installed a large Atlas aluminium roof in the kitchen that allows plenty of light in.
To allow light flow throughout the house, a Crittall internal wall featuring double doors was installed between the sitting room and the kitchen/diner, complementing the external windows and doors.
The double doors open wide to allow one big space if needed, which is very helpful.
